Rejoicing in Your Shield
My dear son,
Can you remember a helpful hand you were thankful for today? I want to rejoice with you in the care you received. Your life is supported by more than your own strength. I am glad when you lean on me and ask for help.
I am your Father, your strength and shield. Come talk with me when you are grateful, too, and stay awhile. Your happy voice and your songs are precious to me.
Near the end of this night, you might quietly sing a favorite song of praise or thank someone who helped you. Finish the day enjoying the love you can depend on, and rest peacefully.
With all my love,
Your Father
Psalms 28:7
