The Joy of Being With Me

My dear son,

Tonight, enjoy the happiness of being with me. Your visits do not always have to be filled with weighty requests. You can come beside your loving Father to smile and sing as well.

I want to be a place of welcome for the child who trusts me. When you lovingly call my name, enjoy the relationship we share. Being together is precious even on a day without any special accomplishment.

If a favorite song of praise comes to mind, sing it softly. Perfect pitch is not what makes your heart welcome to me. Thank the Father who has watched over you today, and let joy and rest share this evening.
