Build Together on Christ
My dear son,
Just as a builder checks the ground carefully, honor the foundation when growing together in faith. Jesus Christ is the foundation you can depend on. Do not let a person's popularity or an impressive appearance take his place.
When you add your work to what someone else has begun, consider carefully how you build. What matters to me is that people grow together in truth and love. Your contribution can serve that shared growth.
If you take on a common task today, respect each person's role. Build one step at a time with the speech and attitudes learned from Jesus. I value the care with which you patiently build a life together.

A short reflection
Paul says he laid the church's foundation by grace and urges care in building on the one true foundation, Jesus Christ.
