Give Your Own Part Good Care
My dear son,
You do not have to turn today's responsibility into proof that you are ahead of someone else. Enjoy caring faithfully for what is entrusted to you. I do not judge your day by a ranking built from other people's lives.
Consider honestly what you can do and where you need help. You can seek support without handing your own responsibility away. Responsibility is not simply claiming that you can do everything by yourself.
This morning, thoughtfully decide which promises you can keep. Tell me your gladness when even a small task is finished. I want you to live truthfully in your own place, giving attention to the life actually in your care.
With all my love,
Your Father
Galatians 6:4–5
WEB4But let each man examine his own work, and then he will have reason to boast in himself, and not in someone else.
5For each man will bear his own burden.
A short reflection
Paul instructs believers to examine their own work rather than boast through comparison and to carry the responsibilities entrusted to them.
