Enjoy Your Freedom through Love

My dear son,

I have called you into freedom. Live your day with gladness. Let that freedom also become a way to love and serve people, rather than using it only to satisfy your own desires. There is joy in choosing care freely.

Cherish your neighbor's life as you cherish your own. Before pouring out everything you want to say, consider how your words treat the listener. Speech that tears at people wounds the place you share together.

Enjoy the rest available today and share the kindness you can. Be honest about the help you are able to offer. I want you to choose love freely and live tenderly alongside others.

With all my love,
Your Father

Galatians 5:13–15

WEB

13For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

14For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

15But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another.

A short reflection

Paul urges those called to freedom to serve one another in love rather than indulge selfish desire, warning against conflict that destroys community.
