The Joy of Practicing What You Know

My dear son,

I want the good you have learned to reach your hands and feet today. After hearing about love, put even a little of it into practice. Following the foot washing, Jesus called those who understood and acted on his example blessed.

Do not dismiss the service he showed as unimportant. Tidying what you share and noticing someone who is uncomfortable matter. Even without much praise, your kindness can be needed right where you are.

This morning, think about the love you can give. Willingly take on a small task within your reach. May the joy of living what you have learned grow deeper throughout your day. I delight in that willing response.

With all my love,
Your Father

16Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither is one who is sent greater than he who sent him.

17If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

A short reflection

Continuing his teaching after washing their feet, Jesus says servants are not above their master and blesses those who practice what they understand.
