Trust the One I Have Sent

My dear son,

When people asked what they should do to perform my work, Jesus told them to believe in the one I had sent. You do not need to begin by drawing up a long list of tasks to win my favor.

First come near by knowing and trusting Jesus. I do not relate to you simply by measuring how busy you have been. Receive love, and let your efforts grow from a willing response to that love.

Before starting today's small tasks, consider whom you will rely on. Listen to my words, respect people, and live faithfully. I gladly receive the love you offer as you learn to trust me in ordinary life.

With all my love,
Your Father

29Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

A short reflection
