Good News Worth Leaving the Jar For
My dear son,
After meeting Jesus at the well, the woman left her water jar and went to invite her neighbors to come and see. She had not prepared an explanation for everything. She shared her wonder about the person she had met.
When you discover something good, speak truthfully about what you know. You need not conceal what you do not yet understand. You can ask questions and explore Scripture together. Sharing good news does not require a perfect explanation.
If you have a chance to pass along the kindness you have received from me today, do so gladly. Leave plenty of room for the other person's story too. Grow in knowing me through honest encounters.
With all my love,
Your Father
John 4:28–30
WEB28So the woman left her water pot, went away into the city, and said to the people,
29“Come, see a man who told me everything that I have done. Can this be the Christ?”
30They went out of the city, and were coming to him.
A short reflection
