Bring a Willingness to Learn
My dear son,
Good tools can support your learning, but they cannot take the place of listening and practice. I care about where your heart is directed as well as what you hold in your hands. A willing heart matters deeply.
You do not have to be skilled from the start. Ask about what you do not know, and try what you begin to understand. You can make a small beginning with what you have instead of remaining occupied only with more preparation.
Tell me what you want to learn today. Ask for a receptive heart and the strength to keep practicing. Wisdom grows in a life of sincere listening and learning; it cannot simply be purchased at a high price.
With all my love,
Your Father
