Speaking Gently and Clearly
My dear son,
As wisdom grows in your heart, may kindness grow in your speech. Even good understanding can be difficult to receive when it is delivered sharply. Gentle language can help the truth reach another person's heart.
When you point out something to correct, preserve the person's dignity. Explain clearly what would help and leave room for questions. People can learn and think more freely where they are treated with respect.
If you have something to explain or discuss today, ask me for a gentle heart. Offer what needs saying accurately and warmly. I want us to enjoy together the good that comes when your wisdom becomes helpful to someone else.
With all my love,
Your Father
