Listening to Someone's Advice
My dear son,
Give another person's advice the thoughtful attention you give your own ideas. Someone else may notice what familiarity has hidden from you. Listening to them can inform your judgment while leaving you responsible for your choices.
Stay open to the possibility that another way may be better. Ask about the reasons behind advice, and receive what is helpful. Wisdom grows as you understand more clearly and make a responsible decision.
If there is something to discuss today, share it freely with a trustworthy person. Ask me for discernment, too. I want to guide you gently as you listen, consider what you have heard, and choose honestly how to proceed.
With all my love,
Your Father
