The Courage to Turn Around

My dear son,

When you realize you have been walking the wrong direction, you can turn around. Strength does not require holding to a mistake until the end. I treasure the courage that hears my word and changes course.

If you see a need to apologize, speak truthfully before reaching for an excuse. Begin correcting what you can, even in a small way. I hope you will not put off the steps that bring you back to me.

When you choose the right road today, walk it faithfully. If there is something to learn again, do not hide in embarrassment. It brings me joy when you respond to my teaching. I want to support those steps with love.

With all my love,
Your Father
