A Prayer About the Road You Have Walked
My dear son,
Tell me about the road you have walked. You need not choose only the successful parts. We can talk about choices you regret and moments you remember gratefully. I am a Father who listens to the story of your life.
Even when your heart feels pressed into the dust, you can ask me for renewed strength. I want you to find both the strength to live and a good path forward. When you are unsure how to walk, ask for my teaching.
I want to hear your story this morning and consider the next step together. Receive what you learn gladly, and correct what needs changing honestly. I will stay beside you as you learn to live by my word.
With all my love,
Your Father
Psalms 119:25–27
WEB25My soul is laid low in the dust. Revive me according to your word!
26I declared my ways, and you answered me. Teach me your statutes.
27Let me understand the teaching of your precepts! Then I will meditate on your wondrous works.
