Walk with Your Shepherd

My dear son,

Begin today remembering that I am the Shepherd who cares for you. A shepherd does more than urge the sheep forward from a distance. He finds pasture, leads them beside restful water, and walks the right paths with them.

I hope you will never be ashamed to rest. You do not have to stay busy every moment to remain within my love. Rest when it is time to stop, and listen for my voice when it is time to move.

I desire more for you than a hurried journey down any available road. Receive fresh strength and follow a good path. Trust the Father who feeds, restores, and leads you, and place this day in my hands.

With all my love,
Your Father
