When Truth and Kindness Meet
My dear son,
I delight in a world where love and truth meet, and justice and peace greet each other. You can speak truth with tenderness. You can stand for what is right while treating the person before you with care.
Carry that heart into your conversations. Speak honestly about what is wrong while honoring the other person's dignity. Peace grows where people listen to one another and seek a way to live rightly together.
Entrust today's words to me, even one small sentence. Let us avoid declaring what has not been checked, and speak necessary words gently. As good fruit grows from the earth, may trust grow between you and the people around you.
