Asking for a Willing Heart
My dear son,
I want to see you gladly doing good beside me. There is more for you than holding on through a sense of duty. Enjoy the love that has saved you, and let your response grow freely from that joy.
When you recognize a wrong, tell me honestly. Even in your shame, come close and ask for strength to turn around. I want you to rediscover joy in our relationship and stand again on a good path.
Open your heart to me this morning. Let us talk about what makes you grateful and what needs to change. Through my grace, I will help a willing heart grow within you, ready to love and ready to obey.
With all my love,
Your Father
Psalms 51:11–12
