Keep Your Eyes on Jesus
My dear son,
Before you begin today's journey, consider where you will fix your eyes. Do not let the person ahead of you capture all your attention. Look to Jesus, who begins your faith and brings it to completion.
Set aside the sin and unnecessary weight that tangle your feet. You do not have to carry them all the way to the finish. Let the love of Jesus, who endured the cross, give you a reason to keep going.
The stories of those who have walked in faith before you can encourage you, too. You need not reach the finish line today. Travel the course before you with patience. Your Father treasures your perseverance in faith.
With all my love,
Your Father

A short reflection
Hebrews calls believers to lay aside hindrances and sin and run with endurance while looking to Jesus.
