Praise We Share Together
My dear son,
When you gather to call on my name, I hear each person's voice. A song offered with a bright smile and a prayer offered through tears are both precious to me. No one needs to hide their heart in my presence.
I do not dismiss the pain of someone who suffers. I want you to know together the love that never turns away from a cry for help. Join those who make room to hear one another's stories.
If you praise me joyfully today, share that happiness freely. If you encounter someone's quiet prayer, offer your gentle company. It brings me joy to hear you sing of my love together.
With all my love,
Your Father
Psalms 22:22–24
WEB22I will declare your name to my brothers. Among the assembly, I will praise you.
23You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him! Stand in awe of him, all you descendants of Israel!
24For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, neither has he hidden his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.
A short reflection
The psalmist promises to praise the Lord among the congregation because God has neither despised the afflicted person's suffering nor ignored the cry for help.
