A Word That Helps You See

My dear son,

I want my word to bring life to your heart. You need not hear it only as a cold measure of your mistakes. I speak to help you recognize what is good and walk the right path with joy.

Just as learning something new opens your eyes, my teaching can deepen the way you see your life and your neighbors. Even words you thought you already knew can offer fresh delight.

Will you spend a little time with my word this morning? You can begin the day carrying a single sentence in your heart. I want you to grow into someone who loves honesty and welcomes the opportunity to do good.

With all my love,
Your Father
