Love in the Little Things
My dear son,
I want to be with you right from the breakfast table. You can think of me on ordinary days, too. Eating, drinking, and greeting the people you meet are all parts of a life that matters to me.
Receive your food with gratitude and consider the people sharing the meal. When you share what you enjoy with a neighbor, my love for you can become visible there as well.
Whatever you do today, talk with me as you do it. I delight in the care you bring to familiar tasks. Let your love for me find a natural expression in the everyday life we share.
