Speak with the Strength You Receive

My dear son,

Speak truthfully of Jesus where you live today. Tell honestly of the grace you have received, beyond any desire to impress with fine words. Ask the Holy Spirit for strength to bear that witness.

The calling reached from Jerusalem through Samaria to the ends of the earth. My love extends beyond familiar people. Open your ears to others' circumstances and questions, and meet them with respect.

You do not have to produce every result yourself. Depend on the Spirit and offer your words and life faithfully today. Your Father delights in seeing you share Jesus' love and live according to the love you proclaim.

With all my love,
Your Father

8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.”

A short reflection

Jesus promises that the disciples will receive the Holy Spirit's power and become his witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
