A Light Where You Are
My dear son,
Bring the light I have given you into the lives around you today. Just as no one lights a lamp only to cover it with a bowl, do not hide the good you can do. Brightening a nearby person's day matters.
Offer a hand when someone needs help, and treat the people you work with honestly. You do not have to make yourself stand out. I would love for someone to encounter my goodness through your kindness.
There is no need to compare the size of your light with anyone else's. Share love where you are today. When people see that light and thank their heavenly Father, I will rejoice with you.
With all my love,
Your Father
Matthew 5:14–16
WEB14You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden.
15Neither do you light a lamp and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house.
16Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
A short reflection
Jesus calls his disciples to let their good works shine so that others give glory to their Father in heaven.
