Who Am I to Do This?

My dear son,

If you are measuring yourself before facing today's responsibility, tell your Father about it. Moses also asked who he was to be entrusted with such a task. I answered him with the promise of my presence.

I hope you will consider more than your own abilities as you decide how to proceed. Do faithfully what you can, and learn what you still need. Notice where help is needed, seek wisdom, and prepare.

You do not have to become extraordinary on your own before taking the first step. Face today's responsibilities trusting the Father beside you. Bring your questions openly to me, and keep our conversation going as you walk.

With all my love,
Your Father

Exodus 3:11–12

WEB

11Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”

12He said, “Certainly I will be with you. This will be the token to you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

A short reflection

When Moses asks who he is to lead Israel, God answers by promising to be with him.
