My Light and My Salvation

My dear son,

As you call on me today, remember who I am to you: your light, your salvation, and the stronghold of your life. Welcome the new day knowing you have a Father you can depend on.

If a person or situation frightens you, do not give it all your attention and all your heart. Look to the one who lights your path and holds you steady. You may ask for help without pretending to feel strong.

I am glad when you stay close on peaceful days, too. Share your happiness and your gratitude with me. In bright days and dark ones, I will be the Father you can call upon.
