My Promise to Be with You

My dear son,

Before your day begins, there is something I want you to hear. I am your God, and I am with you today. I am here to take your hand, not to stand back and measure how much you accomplish.

If something frightens you, you do not have to pull yourself together on your own. Lean on me and ask for strength. When you turn to me, I will not find you a bother or scold you for needing help.

Begin this day trusting my promise to hold you with my right hand. Take the work in front of you one step at a time. My dear child, you are not walking alone.
