What Jesus Saw Beyond the Amount
My dear son,
While people noticed large sums, Jesus saw the heart of a poor widow as she gave. The size of what someone holds in their hand cannot tell you the full measure of the love they are offering.
Do not compare your efforts with someone else's and decide that yours are pitiful. I am your Father; I know your circumstances and see your heart. I value the love offered from deep within you more than the numbers visible to others.
When you see someone giving, think first about the person. Tonight, you may set aside the idea that you must display more to be recognized. The sincerity you bring before me carries real weight, however small the gift may appear.

WEB43He called his disciples to himself and said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, this poor widow gave more than all those who are giving into the treasury,
44for they all gave out of their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, gave all that she had to live on.”
A short reflection
Jesus says the poor widow who gives all she has to live on has offered more than those giving from abundance, recognizing the depth of her devotion.
