The Flavor of Peace Together
My dear son,
As salt brings flavor to food, I want kindness and truth to be present wherever you are. The peace I desire for you involves living together with care for one another's voices, making room to hear what each person has to say.
Sometimes a willingness to understand does more for a relationship than a winning argument. I treasure the way you refuse to treat someone carelessly even when you disagree. Love can be carried in your tone of voice, too.
Tonight, remember something you appreciate about a person close to you. If something needs resolving, ask me for wisdom. As salt keeps its flavor, may your heart hold onto the warmth of sharing life with other people.
With all my love,
Your Father
Mark 9:50
WEB50Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”
