The Wisdom of Leaving Some Things Unknown

My dear son,

You do not need to understand life from beginning to end before you can live today. Your reflections on the past and your hopes for the future matter, but it is all right for some things to remain unknown. Ask me freely.

I am the God who works in fitting seasons. There are things your eyes cannot take in all at once. Instead of hurrying to invent an answer, live faithfully by what you know and rely on me. Leave room to enjoy today's kindness too.

Share your questions slowly this evening. You need not solve each one before resting. I warmly welcome you as you close the day, learning little by little beside your Father.

With all my love,
Your Father

Ecclesiastes 3:11

WEB

11He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can’t find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end.

A short reflection

The Teacher says that God makes everything fitting in its time, while human beings cannot fully comprehend God's work from beginning to end.
