Gentle Hands for a Wounded Heart
My dear son,
Hands that tend a wound need to work gently and patiently. That is how I want to care for your heart. I want to laugh with you on joyful days and let you lean on me when you are hurting.
If you are in pain, you do not have to approach me wearing an unaffected expression. I am the Father who binds up wounds. Give your heart time to recover and receive the care you need.
Be gentle with yourself tonight. If someone comes to mind who needs comfort, listen kindly to them as well. Both of you are lives I cherish. Take time to rest within my love.
With all my love,
Your Father
