A Voice Asking for Life
My dear son,
Your life is very precious to me. When you need help, you do not have to focus on appearing able to endure alone. Ask your Father for help, and willingly take a hand that is offered nearby.
You can call on me even in a dangerous moment. I do not ignore you in your need. Your words may come out unevenly or repeat themselves; that is all right. Tell me honestly what you need.
If you are able to live peacefully today, let us receive that time with gratitude. Add your love to those receiving care and to the people staying beside them. Treat your body kindly and rest comfortably tonight.
With all my love,
Your Father
Psalms 116:3–6
WEB3The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow.
4Then I called on the LORD’s name: “LORD, I beg you, deliver my soul.”
5The LORD is gracious and righteous. Yes, our God is merciful.
6The LORD preserves the simple. I was brought low, and he saved me.
