The Peace I Offer You

My dear son,

At the end of this day, I want to offer you peace. You do not have to wait until every outcome is favorable before your heart can rest. The peace Jesus left you does not disappear each time circumstances change.

Enjoy your gladness within that peace, and tell me about your concerns. I want your heart to have somewhere to turn when fear calls for all its attention. There is room for you beside your loving Father.

Set down even the thoughts you have not resolved today. Open your heart to me and breathe quietly. Let this night end in Christ's peace, the peace the world cannot give.
