Asking to Rejoice Again

My dear son,

It is precious to find your way back into honest conversation with someone you love. I want that openness to continue between us. Speak truthfully about what needs attention, and gladly share whatever makes you thankful.

I would love to hear you pray for renewed life and joy in me. If you have done wrong, return without hiding it. I treasure seeing my people recover honesty, care for one another, and share their laughter again.

Tonight, pray tenderly for the people who worship alongside you. Ask for hearts willing to turn back sincerely instead of blaming each other. I want you to live close to me with the freedom to smile again.

With all my love,
Your Father

WEB

4Turn us, God of our salvation, and cause your indignation toward us to cease.

5Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger to all generations?

6Won’t you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

A short reflection

The community prays for restoration, asking God to turn away his anger and revive his people so that they may rejoice in him again.
