Rooted in Love Tonight

My dear son,

I want your heart to put down deep roots in love. A branch may sway in the wind, yet it lives through roots beneath the soil. My love for you in Christ is what will sustain your life.

That love reaches wider and deeper than you have understood today. You do not have to discover all of it alone. You can learn to enjoy it little by little as you share life with people who care for one another.

If there is an empty place in your heart tonight, open it to me. Bring me a heart full of happiness, too. Rest here beside me, held in a love greater than you can measure.

Paul prays that believers will be rooted in love, know the breadth and length and height and depth of Christ's love, and be filled with God's fullness.
