Welcoming the One Who Comes Near
My dear son,
If you want to draw close to me today, speak freely. You need not arrange your expression into something you think deserves acceptance. Your Father is glad when you trust my love enough to come.
Jesus promised never to turn away anyone who comes to him. Do not let a standard you have made for yourself keep you from his side. Speak plainly about what is lacking and ask for help.
Share anything you need to confess honestly, and let us smile together over what brought you joy. Tonight, come close instead of hesitating at love's doorway. Receive with tenderness the heart of the Father who welcomes you.
