Leave Room for Quiet

My dear son,

I hope there is a quiet place in your day where we can meet. Just as Jesus prayed to his Father in a solitary place, you can make time among your responsibilities to share your heart with me.

You do not need a prepared speech or a report of your accomplishments. Sit beside the Father you love and tell me about your day. Our time together matters in busy seasons and unhurried ones alike.

Tonight, put the screen down for a little while and enjoy the quiet. Tell me what you appreciate and what you wonder about. Entrust tomorrow to me, then rest with the warmth of the time we have shared.
