A Quiet Time Together
My dear son,
Shall we close the door and spend some quiet time talking? Beside me, you have a place where you need not consider how your words will sound to anyone else. Speak to your Father in your own voice.
I see you and hear your prayer where no one else is watching. Long speeches and memorized phrases are not what brings us close. I gladly receive the honest heart you share with me.
Tell me freely what you are grateful for and what you want to ask. When the words are finished, stay in the quiet awhile. Enjoy this precious meeting with your Father as you bring the day to a close.
