A Heart That Makes Peace

When you help make peace between people, I am glad to see something of your Father reflected in you. Small choices matter to me: listening all the way through and answering with kindness.

Making peace also takes the courage to speak truthfully. You need not hide your own heart while trying to please everyone. If you owe an apology, offer it honestly. Continue necessary conversations with care and calm.

You do not have to bring every relationship to a conclusion tonight. Tell me what you can contribute toward reconciliation, and leave the rest with me. As my child who loves peace, care gently for yourself as well.
