A Heart That Waits Quietly

My dear son,

Our conversation can continue while you wait. If there is an answer you have not yet received, tell me how that feels. I am the Father who is good to the child who seeks me.

Waiting quietly does not require you to have no thoughts or feelings. I want to hear your questions and your hopes. Give yourself time to be with me even when you feel eager for things to move.

After tending to today's responsibilities, you may rely on me and rest. Trust the love that saves, and place this night in my care. Even in the place of waiting, there is time to share your heart with your Father.
