A Name You Can Call Again
My dear son,
I am glad you can call my name today. You do not have to spend a long time wondering whether you may come. I am your good Father, ready to love you generously.
If you recognize a wrong, tell me plainly. You do not need a complete defense prepared. I welcome the child who asks for forgiveness willingly. Trust my mercy, return to me, and ask for strength to live rightly again.
Offer an apology sincerely if one is needed, and share your gratitude when it comes. I love the time you spend honestly beside me. Tonight, rest peacefully within the generous love of your Father.
With all my love,
Your Father
