The Father Who Hears Prayer
My dear son,
Your Father is here, ready to listen to your story. You do not have to make the way to me difficult. However you begin, I welcome an honest sharing of your heart.
If a wrong remains on your conscience, confess it to me. You need not first improve yourself enough to deserve forgiveness. Ask for the grace that forgives sin, and let us find the way toward living rightly again.
Bring both gratitude and the things that need changing into tonight's prayer. I am glad when you approach me truthfully. Stay beside the Father who hears your prayers, and let your heart rest comfortably through this night.
With all my love,
Your Father

A short reflection
