Receive the Gift Called Grace
My dear son,
Receive my gift freely this morning. I do not wait to calculate how much you have accomplished before offering saving grace. Before love received through faith, you may begin with a simple thank-you. There is nothing impressive you must first present.
Do not use what you receive from me as a reason to rise above someone else. Grace is not a prize for enlarging your pride. I want gratitude to make you generous toward the people beside you.
Stay awhile with thanks instead of an argument proving you deserve love. Enjoy the gift of salvation. Because it is a gift, you may breathe and receive it gratefully. I am the Father who loves you.
With all my love,
Your Father

A short reflection
Paul teaches that salvation is God's gracious gift received through faith, rather than an achievement of human works, leaving no room for boasting.
