Consider What Helps Your Neighbor
My dear son,
Even when many choices are open to you today, pause to ask one more question: will this also help the person beside me? Among the things you are free to do, look for the choice that offers greater love.
Your freedom matters, and so does your neighbor's life. Do not push aside their circumstances by insisting that you may do whatever you wish. Listening may reveal another way for you both to find something good.
Consider the other person's situation when choosing how and when to speak. You may adjust your plans a little if needed. I delight when you look beyond private advantage and choose what helps people together.
With all my love,
Your Father

A short reflection
Discussing food and freedom, Paul says that not everything permissible is beneficial and urges believers to seek their neighbors' good rather than only their own.
