Freedom in Staying with My Word
My dear son,
Do not let what you read today pass by as merely a pleasant thought. Keep it close. I want a lasting conversation with you. As you remain with Jesus' words and come to understand them, your faith can deepen.
Learning the truth can change how you see things you once took for granted. It can give you courage to leave behind the stories you invent to hide. Hold near the promise that truth brings freedom.
Hear my words this morning and bring them into one choice today. Ask for courage when honesty is needed. I want you to live freely within my love, with room to stand as you truly are.
With all my love,
Your Father
John 8:31–32
WEB31Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.
32You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
A short reflection
Jesus teaches those who believe him that remaining in his word marks true discipleship and leads to knowing the truth that sets them free.
