The Way You Share What You Know

My dear son,

When you share something you have learned, offer kindness along with it. Good knowledge becomes beautiful in use when it helps the listener. Let the other person's understanding be part of what gives you joy.

First, notice what the person already understands. Choose plain words for a beginner, and leave time for questions. What is familiar to you may be something this person is encountering for the first time today.

Let your speech do more than pour out information. Enjoy the listener's growing understanding alongside your own knowledge. I want to give you the discernment and patience that help your learning become generous, thoughtful teaching.

With all my love,
Your Father
