Thanks with Your Whole Heart
My dear son,
I am glad to hear your voice offering thanks. As you remember times you called on me and the strength you received, I want you to know my steadfast love and faithfulness more deeply.
Ask me for the courage you need today, too. You do not need to appear fearless before me. Speak about your heart as it is, receive strength, and give thanks for the help that comes.
Begin this morning calling my name with your whole heart. Treat the people who will work alongside you kindly, and bring sincerity to your responsibilities. May the love I have given continue through your day as gratitude and faithfulness in the way you live.

WEB1I will give you thanks with my whole heart. Before the gods, I will sing praises to you.
2I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your Name for your loving kindness and for your truth; for you have exalted your Name and your Word above all.
3In the day that I called, you answered me. You encouraged me with strength in my soul.
A short reflection
The psalmist thanks God for steadfast love and faithfulness, recalling that God answered his cry and strengthened his inner life.
