Coming with Joy This Morning
My dear son,
I made you, and you are a child in my care. Before you accomplish anything this morning, enjoy knowing where you belong. As a shepherd tends the sheep, I watch over you with love.
Come before me with gladness. Our relationship has room for much more than telling me what has gone wrong. I welcome the voice with which you laugh, sing, and celebrate the life you have been given.
Let us begin today's work together. Treat the person beside you as someone precious whom I also made. As you love one another and serve me with joy, I want to rejoice alongside you in the life we share.

A short reflection
The psalm calls the whole earth to serve God joyfully and declares that those he made are his people and the sheep of his pasture.
