The Seasons That Reach Your Table
My dear son,
Begin today imagining fields full of grain and hills dotted with sheep. Life grows on the land I care for, and through the passing seasons food makes its way to the table you share.
A year's abundance may seem to arrive on its own, yet it carries precious care and labor. Enjoy what you receive, and treat it thoughtfully. Even a small portion of food in your hands is something worth valuing.
Share your gratitude at today's table. If you can eat with someone else, enjoy that companionship, too. As the earth seems to sing through its harvest, may your day hold a song of delight in the grace you have received.
With all my love,
Your Father

A short reflection
