Giving Thanks Out Loud
My dear son,
I want to begin today sharing joy with you. If something comes to mind that makes you grateful, tell me about it. It need not be large or astonishing. Your delight in a small gift brings me joy, too.
You might look back for a moment at the grace you have received from me through your life. Sing about it, or share the story warmly with someone else. Gratitude on your lips can become another person's joy.
Call my name with gladness today. You can come to me for more than requests. When you want to laugh and celebrate, I am also glad to welcome you and share your happiness.

WEB1I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart. I will tell of all your marvelous works.
2I will be glad and rejoice in you. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
A short reflection
The psalmist thanks the Lord wholeheartedly, tells of his wonderful deeds, and sings joyfully to the name of the Most High.
