When Prayer Has No Words
My dear son,
Come beside your Father even on a day when prayer is hard to put into words. It is all right if you do not know what to ask. Your heart can reach me without a finished sentence.
The Holy Spirit helps you in weakness and intercedes even through groanings beyond words. Speak honestly about what you understand, and entrust what you cannot yet untangle. You do not have to manage the work of prayer alone.
Listen quietly to my word this morning and linger for a moment. If words come naturally, share them. If they do not, you can simply remain. Depend on the Spirit who helps you, and begin today's conversation with your Father.
With all my love,
Your Father

A short reflection
Paul teaches that the Holy Spirit helps believers in weakness when they do not know how to pray, interceding with groanings beyond words.
