Plant before You Know the Outcome

My dear son,

Begin the good work within reach of your hands today. Studying every seed cannot tell you in advance which one will flourish. Once you have prepared responsibly, you can plant and tend what you have.

Faithful effort includes accepting what you do not yet know. Do not let one outcome define your entire worth. Watch what grows, learn from it, and bring that learning to the next task.

Like someone sowing in the morning, welcome today's opportunity. You do not need to leave your hands idle until everything is certain. Ask your Father for wisdom, and keep attending steadily to what is yours to care for.

With all my love,
Your Father

Ecclesiastes 11:6

WEB

6In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening don’t withhold your hand; for you don’t know which will prosper, whether this or that, or whether they both will be equally good.

A short reflection

Ecclesiastes urges diligent sowing in the morning and evening because people cannot know which efforts will succeed.
